Capture a moment in time with a handmade impression of your child's hands and feet in clay. These personalized ceramic tiles make the perfect gift for mom, dad, grandparents and aunts & uncles. Impressions can be done at my bright and cheery Needham studio. Or host a "clay date" and I will come to your home and neatly take the impressions for you and your friends (min of 6 tiles) or at my studio (no min order). Appointments are available Monday through Saturday 10-4. Pricing is based on one tile with: 1 imprint $40, 2 imprints $60, 3 or 4 imprints $100. Stamped designs are included in the listed prices. 3D decorations beyond simple flowers, hearts & stars are an additional cost. Many colors and designs to choose from and I welcome new ideas!

Appx 4 week turn around time for these very custom tiles. Please book your appointment by these dates in order to have them in time.

NEW- Fun little dishes, coasters & more!

Here are some new creations of mine. Imprinted ceramic dishes, coasters, cheese markers and more to come. Small oval and round dishes are perfect for keeping your rings safe at the kitchen sink, a nice resting spot for paperclips at your desk or even a bar of soap in the bathroom. I just completed 15 small round dishes with a diamond ring design for bridal shower favors. I can also personalize them with initials, name or date. The cheese markers are the perfect hostess gift! 101 Paw Prints!

101 Dalmatians? Nope! 101 doggie prints of all sorts of pooches from Leroy the Chihuahua to Penelope the Great Dane! Here are the results of 5 VIP night events at Petcos around the area. I have received some great feedback from super happy customers. Getting notes like these would make even the worst day great!

I love the one with the 3-D bees-so incredibly cute!! I really like creating 3-D decorative elements on the impressions. I even recently created a little red bike- Tommie loves his bike so why not use it to decorate his tile.

Taking Impressions at Crunchy Granola Baby!

Here are some pictures of me taking imprints of this adorable little girl at an event at Crunchy Granola Baby in Salem. I gently press the hand or foot into the soft clay to get the impression. I take the clay back to my studio to decorate, fire and glaze it. The finished piece is one that will be treasured for a lifetime!

I love capturing a beloved pet's paw prints in clay. I have completed 4 events at Especially For Pets locations and everyone loved the imprints. I met so many friendly people and their wonderful pets. Above are some pictures of me taking an imprint and the imprint before I take it home to my studio for all the finishing touches. All my time and effort that I put into each piece is worth every second knowing that I am creating a piece of artwork that will remind the family forever of their much loved 4 legged family member.

Belts and Belt Buckles!

After skimming an article about a local woman who decorates belt buckles with beads and all sorts of glittery stuff, I decided to try doing something similar, but with a ceramic twist! It took a while, but I finally found some belt buckle “blanks” on-line, and placed my order. Once I had the blank buckles, I started making tiles, and after some trial and error, I figured out my preferred method of adhering them. Because my very first, completed belt buckle caught the eyes of several gals, I decided to make more of them. I experimented with different colors and patterns and they were a hit too! Next, I stumbled upon retro web belts, which I hadn't seen since I was a kid. There were so many colors available, that I knew these would be a great fit for my tiles. The tile size is a bit smaller for the retro web belts, but these cute buckles are just as fun and vibrant as the larger ones. A great feature of the retro web belts is that the belt itself can be sized with a pair of scissors – one snip and it’s a perfect fit! My buckles are a tad fragile, because they are ceramic after all, but I have dropped them on the floor (by accident of course) and they survived just fine. These belts will be for sale at www.etsy.com and I hope, very soon, to see them gracing the waists of many happy customers.

What have you been doing? So lately this question has a lengthy answer. I get up and work out, go to work, come home and have dinner and then head into my studio most days and the other days are dealing w/life- shopping, cleaning and oh relaxing for a minute or 2.

A few years ago I made some gifts for my friends with new babies and last year a new friend asked if I could do some impressions of her kids hands/feet in clay at her house. I said sure! Then I got a call asking if this friend and that friend could come too and the "clay-date" was born. Invite your friends and I will come with all that is needed to do the impressions quickly and neatly. I have devised a way to easily carry rolled out clay, my glaze tiles and ribbon fit into my huge canvas bag- 2 trips and I have everything moved from the car into the dining room. I sit with each mom and work out colors, decorations, text and more to make a one of a kind keepsake. The pieces that I have created are unique and I make sure to photograph all of my pieces for my portfolio book.
